Sounds like you have a great system in place. I'd like to let you know a little about my secondary business (SendOutCards) . . . I use it with my primary business ---and it really is fantastic for keeping your name in your client's minds' as well as showing your appreciation for them and the business that they bring to you.
SendOutCards is a website that you create greeting cards (not e-cards) online ----and the company prints them, stuffs them in envelopes, stamps then and mails them for you. They have over 10,000 cards to choose from OR you can create your own with your uploaded pictures or logos. You can even use your own handwriting font and personal signatures (this makes it so much more personal).
From my experience ---and many of my client's experiences ----e-mails tend to get deleted immediately, but heartfelt personalized greeting cards really get their attention.
I would love for you to test out the system for FREE. Would you like to try it? If so, I can send you my website address.
Hi Delwyn ----Thanks so much for taking a look at my profile. I'm loving your Indian Glass Lanerns --just gorgeous. How long have you been in business? May I ask --how did you get started? So glad to connect with you . . .
My two business are:
1. Selling discount dental and health programs (they are not insurance) but great for people who cannot get insurance or cannot afford it in the US. Some families pay over $1000 per month and still have to come up with the first $3000 for their medical bills for the year. That includes GP visits.
2. My second business is a lot of fun. It is with a company called Arbonne International. They have been around in the US for 29 years and started in Australia in 2007. They have skincare products for everyone from babies to those of us fighting wrinkles and in my case pimples at the same time. I love the products as they don't contain mineral oil, fragrances, dyes etc and is especially good for people with sensitive skin. My skin is glowing and my pores are getting smaller so after 25 years of breakouts I am really happy.
A love that Arbonne is going to help me spend more time in Australia each year, so the kids and I can see more of our family and friends. I am helping my mum get her Arbonne business started at the moment and I am hoping to meet with some salons when we are back in July.
Here is the Australian web site if you want to take a look. http://ArbonneInternational.com.au
There are two groups I can think of, off the top of my head.
If you are on Facebook there is an area called Circle of Moms. I can invite you if you have trouble finding it. In there, there is a group for Aussies overseas. Now technically you can't advertise in there but you could put a link to a twitter group for aussies as they may not know about it. It is obviously a good place to go and meet other mums who may also have some good ideas.
Another place is CafeMom. There is a group for aussies there as well. You might not be able to advertise in that specific group but you could set one up and advertise in there. And sig lines are allowed so you could easily put it in there.
There also groups for Australians in LA etc. I am not sure if you can advertise on their sites or how much it would be.
Have you considered marketing to expats?
It costs a fortune to ship gifts every year from overseas back home to family in Australia. And this year I completely forgot and bought an item with a power supply.... I needed to get family to run around and find me another one in Sydney right before christmas...
Let me know if you are interested. There are quite a few groups around on different sites with aussies who live abroad.
Are you a fan of the show 24?? Join our group… We discuss Jack Bauer’s goings on! I'm not sure if this show airs in Australia, but I love the show and wanted to let you know we have a group for it!
You Aussie Mums are so bright and cheery! Have you connected with Hayley Solich here yet? Just stopping by to post an official welcome from me on your comment wall! :) ~*~

Delwyn, I believe that their is a group Party Plan Moms or Mama's you can find a wealth of information with that group and also Direct Selling Moms, WAHM and possibly Savvy Business Moms. Don't quote me on some of the groups correct names that I also belong top ... it's been a very busy few weeks for me. I love broadcasting and promoting entrepreneur's to help their business grow ... it's a wonderful journey that just began this year creating info commercials and videos. Speaking of moms being jugglers you will probably enjoy this video for moms.
It's Saturday and I am frantically trying to get documents together to send to website developer before having to drive my daughter to Tennis, Oh, the life of a mum (aussie version) or mom (for my new friends in the US), we should be jugglers.

So --how is your business going? As the economy affected it much?
Do you have a lot of repeat customers? How do you keep in contact with your customers?
