I’ve recently signed up for a kettlebells class at my children’s martial art school. In an effort to prepare for this class, I’ve started working-out training my core with these magical bells. One of the things that I noticed right away from this exercise is that it really strengthens the core of the body.
I love core work because it requires that the center of my strength begins from the inside out. The same is true with any self-work in our lives.
I don’t know what you need to strengthened in your life but I can tell you that if you focus on your core you will be stronger. I listened to so many clients, friends and people who make decisions in their own lives based on would, should’s or ought ’s which is the opposite of following your internal guidance. If this is you, I challenge you to reframe your external decision making and begin instead asking yourself the following:
1: What do I love?
2. How does this experience, obligation or situation make me feel?
3. What do I want?
4. What feels right to me?
5. What are my values?
While this simple journal entry seems so simplistic in reality it challenges each of us to connect with our truth.
Live fully,
Mia
