Elliott gets her braces today. I can’t tell if she is excited or scared. The appointment was made in May when I took her to the orthodontist to see if she needed braces. Colby and I knew she needed braces because she has a receding chin and a wicked overbite, but we needed to respect the experts.
For seven months, Elliott has worried about, asked about, stewed about, and celebrated the fact she would be getting braces in December. As the rest of her required teeth fell out, and her new teeth came in, her teeth settled into their new spacious home. But as her teeth were getting comfortable in their new digs, plans were being made to upset the balance. Braces.
