With so many joyous things that has been happening with my blog over the last couple of weeks, my heart is acking. I am a person that reads a lot. Part of my reading is in the news. Whether it is in politics, national, world, sports, gossip, or local. Lately, there have been a lot of stories in the abuse and killings of young children: The most important blessing that you have received from God.
The stories have made me sad, angry, and confused. It is confusing to me that most of the stories tell that it is the child's own parent(s) that have been doing these horrible things to them. There are so many other options instead of allowing these children to starve to death, or killing them and then yourself. Earlier today I had read a story of a mother who had a son that was autistic. She then blogged about how she had given her life to God and repented of her sins. But then shoots both her son and herself with a pistol. What!? Why!? The story goes on to tell that no one around her knew of the pain she was going through.
That story is just one example of the heartache going on in the world. I could list several more, but to put them all down would be exhausting on my soul. These children have done nothing to deserved the type of punishment that they are going through. Most of them that survive will be scarred for the rest of their life with the memories of the torment they had to endure.
Listening needs to be done not only with your ears but your mind and heart. Placing yourself in that situation can put more of a perspective on the problem. Trying to understand their feelings and thoughts on it is the way to the answer for many. Sometimes having a good ear and a shoulder for leaning on can help more than you know. Other times it takes involvement, like actually getting right in the midst if the problem and handling it accordingly.
Please, I am begging you, if you need help with the care of your child(ren) ASK! There are a number of local organizations out there. They are willing to get you the help you need. Go to any church and talk to the minister, priest, or pastor. Go to the hospital and ask for guidance for your problem. Talk to family or friends. Help is always around, you just have to ask.
God himself tells all to ask for help and he shall give it to you. In the King James Bible Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
