BUMP IT UP A GO- GO WITH TWITTER MOMS IN SF

It was quite a site:a cadre of preggos dressed to the nines at the W HOTEL SF to celebrate my pregnancy style bible BUMP IT UP: TRANSFORMING YOUR PREGNANCY INTO THE ULTIMATE STYLE STATEMENT at a moms night out soiree hosted by Megan Calhoun and Twitter Moms. This was no average book signing. My goal? To bring the concepts of my book to life in a live event. So, instead of a ho hum gathering at a book store, moms and moms to be were invited for some pampering,a reading and a fashion demonstration on how to achieve maximum style with minimal maternity.Without breaking the bank.

Guests supped La Croix mojito mocktails and nibbled upon a cravings based smorgasboard (baby grilled cheese, hamburgers and Sprinkles Cupcakes) as they stopped by various "stations" to learn about, say, the new Pampers with Dry Max, Britax Chaperone stroller system, Baby Bjorn and Giggle's Ultimate Baby Registry.I am a firm believer that the much ballyhooed "preggo glow" is an urban myth. So, Lancome was on hand to show women how the artful blend of shimmer, bronzer and mineral foundation yields radiance not unlike JLO's infamous glow. Bliss offered up oxygen blasts and hand and neck massages. And, Wacoal showcased the creme de la creme of lingerie and shapewear.

On stage, I read from my book and had three gorgeous "real mom" preggo models styled in looks that illustrated how easy it is to good, feel great and retain one's fashion identity during pregnancy. Guests left with goody bags filled with some of my favorite gear from Mama Mio, Epicuren Baby, Moms The Word and Tide To Go. Wish you could have all been there! Amy, you are stunning as always! Thank goodness for your endless supply of unbeatable fashion sense and style that can't be beat. I'm so sorry I was stuck in LA for the event... I've already heard it was amazing from at least 10 friends!
