I found this comic that Isabelle drew a few months ago, I put it to the side to store in the endless art folder that each child has, then I kept coming back to it. It makes me giggle, really! I have a dry sort of humor, I probably say, “How funny” more than I actually burst out laughing. But, this little comic just kept making me laugh. Because of this, I decided to ask her about why she drew it this way and why the snake is afraid of the turtle. Her reply was, “Well, I starting thinking about the bull snake that we caught this summer and about Touche (the turtle across the street) and how unlikely it would be that the snake would be afraid of a turtle, so I thought it was funny, so I drew it.” She told me with a grin and wandered away to watch ELF. (That should say something in itself)

This has caused me to reflect on what I’m afraid of that is unrealistic and should not deter me from pushing forward. Linda Lampe over at http://www.believeactgo.blogspot.com has made this very subject the mission of her life. Shed the fears in life and start moving!

So today, as difficult as it may be, I am not longer going to scream, AWWW! At:

Success over Failure
Faith over Doubt
Hope over Despair
Truth over A Lie

2009 is going to be a year of triumph, joy and the fulfillment of dreams!

That is adorable...I started scrapbooking and it is a lot of fun...you should put that in a scrapbook and send it to a child's publication etc.
