Staying Fit At Age 56 And Counting

Recently I had a lady write to me and ask if I looked good in person.  This was not a terribly unusual question as I have been teaching and coaching from online websites since April 2008 and to be honest I have gotten…

Brilliant idea! I found Repeat Posessions online...I typed in "Before, During and After Pregnancy clothing" on Google and voila- I found Repeat Posessions.

Third Trimester of Pregnancy Necessities

As I’m getting to the end of this pregnancy, I’m realizing the rumors are true: the last few weeks are the hardest. You do get anxious about meeting the little babe. Your body is more sore and uncomfortable than it ever was before. And no matter how much resolve you have, your overly extended body will be more exhausted than it has throughout your entire pregnancy – even those pukey weeks in the first trimester. With all of that in mind, here are the pregnant…

The third trimester: how you know you're reaching the end of your pregnancy

Well guys, according to my due date the bean and I are officially 33 weeks pregnant. According to the belly measurements that the doctor took last week we might be a week ahead of that…but I’m sticking with my original due date. Things get way too confusing when the date jumps all over the calendar. And besides, if he ends up coming a week earlier than originally expected that’s just a bonus, right? Thought so.

Anyway – every day that we get closer to delivery, Ricky…

My hubby has pregnancy symptoms, too

At this point in my pregnancy, I’m used to all of the new symptoms that seem to crop up on a weekly basis. I’m semi-used to sharing my belly with the bean, who seems to take up more space every.single.day. But one thing that I never even expected to have to get used to was Ricky having his own form of pregnancy symptoms.

Now, I’ve read about a lot of the standard sympathy symptoms that some men get: weight gain, a sore back and anxiety about the baby coming.…

Signs that you're 28 weeks pregnant

Well, our new house is almost completely pulled together. Five days. (Almost) a whole house. Pretty dang impressive, considering I’m 28 weeks pregnant! Check out the sneak peak of our new master – I think the pooch likes it. I’ll post some more photos soon. But as long as we’re on the topic of 28 weeks pregnant, let’s stay there for a while...Continue reading at The Mommyhood Project

Prenatal Exercise Video - Stay Fit While Pregnant

As a pregnant momma who’s really trying to stay in shape throughout my pregnancy, I’ve read a million articles on what exercises are safe for pregnant women, what is most beneficial for staying in shape while pregnant and what exercises are comfortable for pregnant ladies. Obviously there are certain mainstays like going for power walks and using a low-impact machine like an elliptical for staying fit while pregnant, but let’s face it: that can get a little boring. And boring = I…

26 weeks pregnant - saying goodbye to the second trimester

Today, I am officially 26 weeks pregnant. Which means I have about a week left of the second trimester. Which means we’re almost to the third trimester. Which means…the baby is almost HERE.

I’m so excited and nervous and anxious at the same time that I can’t even stand it! Parts of me wish that he were coming next week and parts of me are happy that we still have a (short) 14 weeks left til my due date....Continue reading at …

Heat and the pregnant lady

Today has been quite the day. It all started around 4:30 this morning when I woke up to a thrashing storm outside our house. The power was out, the dog was hiding under the bed and I couldn’t figure out whether or not we needed to be in the basement. Then some combination of the thunder and the rain woke up the bean, who didn’t stop kicking until what felt like an hour later. Needless to say, mama didn’t get much sleep last night. This all would have been fine and dandy had I been…

I want to be a mommy

Falling pregnant – wow, what an honour.  As most of know, my husband and I lost our little one last month. And so I have decided to start a blog. Join me as I share my thoughts and feelings, hopes and desires on our adventure and journey of  trying to fall pregnant and becoming a mom. I encourage moms, dads and moms to be to comment and take part. We can all learn so much through one another.

I remember being in Grade 1, when the teacher asked us each to stand up one by…

Dear Donor

Dear Donor,

This letter has been 3 years in the making and many times written and erased. It brings me to tears when I think of all I want to say to you and all I would ask if I meet you. It also puts the realization into the fore front that my children, these three beautiful creatures are not just part of me, but part of an unknown! Everyday I look at them and watch them grow I can clearly see me in them, but the other parts, the ones that are so obviously not me, I can only assume…

Sari and Her Ray of Sunshine

There are certain people you come across in life who just always make you smile.  They are able to see the glass as half full and bring positivity wherever they go -- kinda like a ray of sunshine on an otherwise cloudy day.  You can't help but to admire and respect these people cause they make you want to be a better person yourself.

My friend, Sari, is one of these amazing people.  I am in constant awe of her optimism, courage and strength.  She somehow juggles three kids,…
