Do you ever feel, that as the centrifugal force of the house, that mommy’s mood sets the tone for the the whole family? Because I’m Worth It…

By Guest Blogger Erika Rath

300 pounds! 300 pounds! I looked at the scale and couldn’t believe the number staring back at me. How had this happened? How had I let myself go? I was in my early twenties, miserable, and weighing in at an

unthinkable 300 pounds.

It had to stop. But how? I had tried it all. The diets, the weight loss coaches, the calorie counting, the cabbage soup diet, the no-carb diet, etc… NOTHING WORKED! Sure, I got excited after I lost a…

Is Your Baby Bedding Toxic?

Decades ago, clothing, linens and other textiles were anything but easy-care. The fabrics were heavy and cumbersome to clean, took forever to dry, and had more wrinkles than a Shar Pei. This kept housewives, which was just about every wife at the time, pretty busy.

Can Women Have It All?

Of course women CAN’T have it all! You tell me one person who has absolutely everything! Perfectionism is an illusion of the mind. Today’s Blog post is about the women who try and have it all, and then go into therapy when they realize that it’s virtually impossible.

Over the past few decades, women have made incredible strides. We make up half the US workforce, and are holding some of the highest level positions in the country. However, if I show you studies of female executives who… Continue

Guilt… Guilty, Guilty, Guilty!

So, our brains constantly torture us to the tune of ; I should be spending more time with my kids, cooking healthier meals, calling friends more regularly, returning emails, working harder, going to the gym more often, being nicer to people, coming home earlier from the office, baking more, eating better… Oh the Guilt! Oh the Guilt!

Actually, guilt does serve its purpose on occasion. It sometimes guides us when things go wrong in our lives, when we’re not working hard enough, or when… Continue

Ruthie's tip - No money in recruiting for direct your homework!!!

Here is what I think happens...

Deep Down Are You Still a People-Pleaser?

For some people, saying yes, giving in to what is asked or wanted is a habit, even an addiction. Others, at times, just feel manipulated or taken advantage of, anger at the person who asked or upset with themselves for agreeing.

The research for my book, The Book of NO: 250 Ways to Say It-and Mean It and Stop People-Pleasing Forever, culminated in insights and tools that can help people-pleasers get off the yes-treadmill. Saying NO as so many… Continue

Like Deal or NO Deal??

How about Meal or No Meal?

I had to inform everyone that I found my newest favorite game....on Sesame Street!! LOL I know I am ROFL right now, but I had to post this.

I was doing the usual get-ready for the day stuff this morning and I hear this knock-off Howie Mandell voice saying similar things to what you would hear on Deal or No Deal. I stopped what I was doing and went to check it out and Sesame Street had their version of Howie Mandell talking to the 'baker' and… Continue
