Many people look around for good marketing tools to help spread the word about what they do. Twitter is gaining a lot of ground as one of the most popular ways to market your online business.
Twitter is a combination of a chat, instant messaging service and a mini-blog, Twitter is a great way to gain a broader audience. Simply by being yourself and showing others what it is that you do via tweets (messages) and by word of mouth from current customers tweets, with that you stand the…

I finally did it! I told my husband to get off his butt and start helping out around the house. (Well, I haven’t done that in about a month.) Of course, it did no good, but I was stressed out and I wanted to take it out on someone and better him than the kids. You know how some days being supermom is overrated? Well, today was one of those days. I long for some peace and quiet. I want to remember what silence sounds like. I actually want to hear…

I have recently taken on two new contracts for Internet Business Development. Part of my contracted services includes assistance with setting up a Social Media plan and corporate blog. I am quickly discovering that there seems to be a shortage of virtual assistants who have the social media knowledge and skills most small internet companies need to continue with the daily management and promotion of their corporate blogs and social media strategies.
There are also many Internet…

1.) Be a person first. List your name on your profile, choose a user name that people will recognize as you, and use a photo.
2) Help others: People often tweet looking for help, directions, ideas, and feedback on their posts or ideas. My rule of thumb is help more often then you ask for help.Which brings me to the next item.
3) Ask for help: Be careful not to go overboard here or you will quickly loose followers. Need ideas for an article, quotes, product reviews,…

I begin this post like most.. admitting I really don't "get" motherhood. I'm a big fan of moms everywhere, especially my Twitter Mom friends, but I'm careful to remind myself. I'm not equipped to understand being a mom.
That said, I had no problem seeing how the
Motrin ad was offensive. Does any mom talk like that? Does anyone say "wear a baby?"
And they used the word "thing" in a way that could be construed to refer to a child.…

On Friday night, we talked about
Twitter Moms on the TwitCast.

I wanted to spend more time and reach more moms, but it was Halloween and I assumed moms had other priorities!
So this week, on Friday November 7th, we have got Megan Calhoun herself booked as a special guest for our
Twitter Radio Show.
The show is 7pm Pacific time, and 10 pm…

As you know, when I find something good, I sing like a canary. I simply can’t hold back. This is a twofer, a 2 in 1; hits my professional and my personal side. Drumroll…it’s a stroller.
I love when people do it RIGHT.

Yes, you are still at the Writing Roads Blog, aka. Blogging Roads!
Last night my dear designer, Leslie Tane, surprised me by expanding my blog into three columns with a new theme called Amazing Grace, a lightweight, super-optimized WordPress theme packed with features (SEO, Adsense & Widget Ready) created by Vladimir Prelovac. I was thrilled as I’ve been itching for some more elbow room!
One impetus for this space-making was that I’ve been approached by several vendors…

I love Twitter to distraction! What I look forward to the most are all the fabulous people I would have never otherwise met. I always check out the Twitter profile of whoever follows me to be sure I don't have to block any Twitter Trolls, and, to be sure that I follow everyone who's really making thing happen on the Internet.
When Megan followed me on Twitter, I of course had to check out her Twitter profile and discovered Twitter Moms! Love at…
