Last night after dinner, my daughter wanted to play a game with me… So here she comes down the stairs with her HI-HO Cherry-O Board Game…

What am I teaching her, if there is only one right way to do…

I think it was in April when I met Janice Roper for the first time. For years, Ilona, my mother-in-law, had spoken of her dear friend who came to town to read tea leaves in the art studio. When the Little Dude was born, Janice was one of the first people Ilona called (so she could get his birth chart).
Having grown up in a haunted house and counted pyschics and mediums among my mom's friends, I'm pretty used to this sort of thing. But when I finally got to meet Janice for a tea leaf…

To jumpstart your new year in these roiling times, consider this: ”When the economy tanks it’s natural to think of yourself first. You have a family to feed and a mortgage to pay. Getting more appears to be the order of business. It turns out that the connected economy doesn’t respect this natural instinct. Instead, we’re rewarded for being generous. Generous with our time and money, but most important generous with our art.” ~ Seth Godin

Throughout the holidays and beyond, make family meals a tradition in your home.
This holiday season will present many opportunities for families to gather together and share a meal. But for parents who are looking to promote learning and positive communication, family dinners should not be reserved for just festive occasions.

Awwww the early riser! The early mornings may be driving you up the wall by now, so let's talk about some tips on how to change their biological clock so they don't wake up 5am every morning!
There are some common causes as to why babies wake up extra early:
1. Some young kids just naturally wake up early
2. Morning nap is too early in the day
