Happy New Year to Everyone!
I hope that you all enjoyed blessed holidays. Wow, what a day for Twittermoms today. Great mention in the Chicago Tribune!
I would also like to share with you the news of my quote in the NY Times today. Recently I received a call from a reporter there doing a story on the down housing market and it’s effects on those in divorce. That story was released online today. You can read the full story here…

Mid November my friend moved to the South of Germany as you can read in my blog sooo sad.
It has been difficult to get in touch with her and I was getting a bit upset since normally we spoke at least once a day and now 6 weeks have been gone with so much as 1 call.
I left messages on her answering machine, sent her a christmas car and even tried her cell without success. Finally yesterday she rang me saying she had been busy and had been on skying vacation etc.…

We have been online now about 2 weeks. Each day we have met many goals with still many goals to achieve. Building a website from the ground up has been an amazing experience and we hope that everyone likes what we have so far. We are hoping that people will blog and review different diets, diet products, health products and anything related to health. This will hopefully help people make educated decisions when choosing a diet or health product. We welcome any thoughts or comments, as this is a…

For Christmas my 6 year old daughter asked for a Nitendo DS. I laughed and said, "what do you know about a DS"? She said she just wanted one. Well I was not about to spend $130 or more on a present for my 6 year old when I know full well she is not able to be responsable for something like that. So we decided to get her a hand held V-Smile instead.
It worked! She excepted it as a DS. She plays with it all the time and while she is playing and having so much fun, she is also learning.…

As your kids get older, it gets more and more difficult to live the jolly ho-ho lie. They start asking about the logistics of Santa covering so much territory in so little time. There is also the issue of time zones. If you're not super sneaky, your little detectives soon figure out that mama and Santa have the same handwriting and wrapping paper. Then there are those tough questions around why we have to be charitable when Santa…

Thought I would share this site - www.greenbabybargains.com .
It is one of those one bargain a day sites, but everything is eco-friendly, and at least 50% off! It looks like it's going to be a blast!

I know it's setting yourself up for failure - and self ridicule - to make a bunch of public pronouncements about how you're going to change your whole life in January every, but hey, we're all friends here, right? Sometimes saying something out loud helps you live into it. So, here, in no particular order, are my resolutions, which I define as some stuff I really hope I can accomplish but will not hate myself for if I bag out.
1. Resume doing yoga,…

I know we've all seen the "free" credit report advertisements. Usually you get it free for a month, and if you don't cancel, you find a charge of $14.95 on your credit card. I just came across this neat website that offers you a chance to see your credit score for free without even having to post a credit card or debit card! It's called Credit Karma.… Continue

Millions of dollars are spent annually on everything from A (Advil Cold) to Z (Zycam) for relief of symptoms brought on by ailments of the winter months. Not that I am opposed to conventional medicine but for moms looking for an option aromatherapy can be a good complementary modality to try.
Conventional medicine is defined as one that employs the use of individuals who hold degrees such as a Medical Doctor, Doctor of Osteopathy or other allied health professionals. Complementary medicine…

What color knickers will you be wearing on New Year’s Eve? If you’re like me, you hadn’t thought that far ahead yet. But if you’re like many women around the world, you have already picked out your yellow panties in preparation for the big day. In many Spanish-speaking countries, wearing yellow panties at the stroke of midnight as the New Year turns is thought to bring wealth and good luck in the coming year. Yellow is the color of choice because it is most closely associated with gold.…

As I was recovering from being terribly sick for Christmas, I was also deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one Old Hollywood’s original Glam Goddesses, Eartha Kitt. What a sad coincidence that the woman who sang the original “Santa Baby” died on Christmas day.
Ms. Kitt sang a number of sultry hit songs, like “I Want to Be Evil” and “C’est Si Bon.” Ms. Kitt was treated last week at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and died in Connecticut on Thursday of colon cancer. Born to a…

Included in this recipe are options using red or Yukon gold potatoes. I encourage you to try both variations, as the Yukon gold potatoes provide a wonderfully distinct flavor, different than the red.
Ingredients
* 3-4 medium sized red or Yukon gold potatoes
* 3/4 cup organic chicken or vegetable broth
* 1/2 tsp rosemary, very finely chopped
* Dash of pepper
