What Do You Do When You Don't Understand God's Ways?

Sometimes when we are going through in life, we just can't see our way out. It gets hard to see a light at the end of the tunnel. Just remember that God loves you and He has a purpose and plan for your life. Find comfort in these scriptures and believe that God will see you through.

Things I've Learned This Week

Once again, I've compiled a list of things I've discovered throughout the past week.  Included is the realization that giving my kids a ten dollar bill is like giving a teenager a case of beer.  Click over to my blog to read the rest of the list:  "…

Decorating a Baby Nursery on a Budget

We’re moving this weekend – finally. I should be thinking about moving, unpacking and transferring our utilities to the new house. Instead, all I can think about is the absolute LAST thing on my list: the baby nursery! Like I said before, I’m trying to achieve an overall little-boy-but-not-overly-cutesy theme. One of the big reasons I don’t want to go that route is that I want the bean’s room to be able to grow with him. I don’t want it to be too “babyish” where we’re going to…

Summertime Necessities for Pregnant Mamas

In Minnesota, we talk about the weather a lot. Mostly because in the winter, it’s cold, snowy and icy. And then we get a lot of floods in the Spring. And then it gets HOT in the summer – hot and sticky. Like it has been for the last couple of days – 90s and humid. Some people love this weather and normally the heat doesn’t bother me – it kind of makes up for months of being inside throughout the winter. BUT: I’m not normally pregnant in the middle of all of this heat. And…

Girls' Night Out Gone Wrong

This past weekend, my girlfriends and I witnessed the most shiteous live show we'd ever seen in our whole entire lives.  After spending $50 on such a horrific performance, I felt it my God-given duty to forewarn the rest of the free world against the craziness that went down in this…

Summertime Salads - with what's in your cupboard!

When it’s hot out – like it is today at 105 degree heat index – I have no stamina for cooking. There’s just no reason to stand over a hot stove and sweat my life away. So instead, Ricky and I eat a lotof salads in the summer. I’m not someone that plans for salads – I pretty much throw anything that happens to be in my cupboard/fridge into the mix. Since I do know that we eat salads all the time at this time of year, I usually keep a monster bag of unchopped romaine on hand…

Just one more minute...

Here I sit, dancing in my chair as I squeeze my thighs together, entering the last rewards code from my pack of Huggies that has been sitting in front of my computer for about a month. QZHWA… I can’t hold it any longer. Deep breath… just five more letters…

Sound familiar? It would take less than one minute to run to the bathroom even with a thorough hand washing. Why do we do this to ourselves?

Personally, it’s because if I don’t finish what I’m doing at that exact moment I…

How I Became Mrs. Galster - Chapter Six

(Continued from Chapter Five)

A month later, we were scheduled to see the doctor that would eventually be the reason this baby is in my belly. I just didn’t know it yet.

During that month I didn’t really tell anyone what we had going on with the whole doctor situation. Sure, my mom knew about it. But I figured that most people wouldn’t…

10 Reasons for Utilizing a Wordpress Business Site

Developing

a well-designed professional website for your business is critical these days

and Wordpress is an excellent way to achieve this goal.  The internet is more competitive than it ever

has been and you will need an up to date, user-friendly, proficient

website.

I used to have a site that was built manually and all changes had to be done

manually as well.  I really loved the

site and it did well but it finally came time to admit that…

What's your favorite deal website?

I have a serious obsession with deal websites. To the point where I pretty much refuse to buy ANYTHING unless I can get a better price than retail! With a lot of parents shopping with that same mentality, I’m wondering: what’s YOUR favorite deal website? I get a bunch of daily emails with lots of great offers from…

A little Paris, New York City and Baby Overalls

I have three major things on my mind today: packing, working and donuts. So instead of trying to connect all of these things, I made a list of a lot of little things.

1. With our house a little out of sorts (aka moving boxes everywhere and everything else just not where it’s supposed to be), Lucy’s been a little out of sorts. She’s been walking around the house whining like she doesn’t know what to do with herself. So I moved her dog bed right next to my desk…

How to tell you're six months pregnant

How to tell you’re six months pregnant. Aka the story of my life right now.

  • You’ve just recently figured out why those handles on the ceiling of your SUV are there: to help pregnant women get out of the car.
  • You cross your legs as tightly as possible when you feel a sneeze coming on so that you don’t pee yourself...Continue reading at The Mommyhood…

Prenatal Exercise Video - Stay Fit While Pregnant

As a pregnant momma who’s really trying to stay in shape throughout my pregnancy, I’ve read a million articles on what exercises are safe for pregnant women, what is most beneficial for staying in shape while pregnant and what exercises are comfortable for pregnant ladies. Obviously there are certain mainstays like going for power walks and using a low-impact machine like an elliptical for staying fit while pregnant, but let’s face it: that can get a little boring. And boring = I…

Finding Inspiration in New Places

Yesterday, one of Ricky’s cousins found out some really great news. He’s been given an amazing opportunity to follow his dream and turn it into a reality! Last night, Ricky talked to him about it and he was very excited – and also a little scared. I understand that fear. Taking the leap of faith to follow a dream that you’ve held so close to your heart – and realizing that it’s now or never, succeed or fail – is daunting...Continue reading at …

Here's another list of things I've discovered lately.  And this week includes the sad realization that sitting next to the fittest person at the pool is like driving a clunker next to a Ferrari.  Click over to my blog to read more: …
