Hope That Wasn't A Sample of How 2009 Will Go...

2008 ended quietly around here. We stayed home and watched the ball drop in between movies hubby had rented. Not bad but not "write home and tell mom" stuff either.



2009 began with - well - cat puke! I woke up this morning, stepped out of bed and froze. Carpet is not supposed to squish up between your toes. I looked down and saw that it wasn't carpet at all. :(

Women- Think hard on this one...protect yourself for the future :)

I'm doing direct sales as my part time job...I work at Lazboy full time and yesterday they cut everyone to 32 hours due to the ecomony for a few months to give the company some extra money. Our boss too, took a pay cut which says a lot...and the owner. ....

Now I work weekends and Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the galleries here in Syracuse New York area...

Does Job Security Really Exist...

Hello Friends



I was watching CNN today and they said that nearly 4000 Best Buy employees where informed that they would be eligible for a voluntary separation package in order to reduce its corporate expense.



I mean this is crazy! They tell us to go to school, get good grades so you can find a good job. That is what we are taught from a very young age BUT is this the right advice when job security is so unpredictable.
