Teachable Moments

A teachable moment usually occurs during a normal day to day activity. A moral lesson is taught and learned. Teachable moments are organic.Alana found a doll in a corner of the classroom floor. My daughter’s fondness for the toy pushed her to tell an elaborate story about its ownership. She claimed to be the owner even in the face of her friend and classmate’s tears and pleadings that the doll was hers. When I received the phone call I giggled because Alana’s story was so preposterous. She…See More

The Nickname Phenom

I am a Brooklyn girl with Southern roots and to prove it, I share with you my nickname, Day-Day. That is right, until I was 18 and had earned the right to respectfully demand adults call me Adiaha (Ah-day-ah-ha), I was called Day-Day by nearly everyone in my life. The only person who called me Adiaha was my mother.**

Having a nickname where I come from is a rite of passage. My brother’s nickname was Ti-Ti, my cousins were/are, Robbie, Nikki, Ray-Ray, Mi-Mi, Danni, and Mikki. I knew a… Continue

Hi Adiaha! I'm Beatrice. Here for all of the Moms interested in recovering their pre-child figure. My garments correct the posture, lift the breasts, flatten and strengthen the abdomen, eliminate all back fat as well as lift and firm the rear. With consistent wear, healthy eating, and light exercise, the garment will mold the body into a more appeasing shape. For more info feel free to message me or email me at ardyssintrep@yahoo.com.
Hope that you are enjoying Motherhood. :-)

Hi Adiaha, I saw your profile pic on one of my friends page. Just wanted to stop by and say hello and welcome to the site. I love your hair in the pic. There is a group for moms that are wearing their hair in it's natural state. You should come and join the group. Maybe we can get someone over there that is willing to keep the group active. Hope to see you there.
