- I am a homeschooling mom of 1 dd still at home and 2 graduated. I love doing altered art, scrapbooking, x-country skiing, sailing and going for long walks in the woods. I love to read and teach. I love my Lord Jesus Christ and try to live a life worthy of Him. I love snow and sunshine, winter and summer, and like to think that someday I will have time to do some significant journaling. Right now, though, running a home school high school co-op and teaching there consumes most of my spare time.

Seriously, videoconferencing is very easy these days.
Maybe I can get a paid gig in Michigan and do a homeschool workshop on the side, too. If I do a consult that pays for my travel expenses, I try to meet with local families. I plan to travel more in the near future.

- What a coincidence, Tricia. We just ran a fabulous chemistry activity in the Math Club. Essentially, we made up our own elements, described the elements and even drew little cartoons about the elements, a-la Basher. Then kids connected atoms of their elements into molecules, figuring out valencies.
Their initial math hypothesis was that valencies always switch. For example, if Alicium had the valency of 3 and Mariagen the valency of 5, then the molecule will be Ali5Ma3. We made up element names based on our names. However, when they figured out 4 and 6 valencies, they were in for a surprise - and a nice exploration of least common multiples. Kids loved it.
