Looking for a mid range camera buying advice

I currently have a 3-year-old Cannon PowerShot A560.  Over the past couple of months, I've noticed a decline in performance and I'm no longer happy with what I'm getting.  I'd like a camera with more kick and better photos.  Something in the mid range area.  I'm done with P&S cameras.  I've found they don't last as long with regular use.  Any ideas out there?  I prefer Cannon.See More
