I imagine we have to go though some kind of catharsis when we have children -- I mean, how can we not? We go from taking care of ME or me and partner to taking care of this other little person who 100% needs us, thinks we walk on water and loves us, loves us, loves us more than anything else they know in their young lives.
The level of unselfishness real mothering requires is immense. How can that not change even the most selfish person to some extent? But I must say,…
