- I'm a thirty-something mother of two trying desperately to hold-it-all-together while juggling work, life and the perils of raising boys.
After surviving a 10-year stint in the music industry (Nashville, Tenn.) I am now living in the Washington DC Metro area with my family. In addition to blogging about nothing in particular, I also manage to work as an independent contractor in emerging media, event planning, writing and public relations as well as serving as a volunteer on various committees in the community.

How Far Would You Go For A Cause You Believed In?
Sometimes you need to take a stand for what you believe in, even if it costs you physical and financial pain.
I personally believe in a certain cause so deeply that I will be running 26.2 miles to prove it.
But let me back up first and tell you about the day that my life changed forever…
On this specific day a work colleague encouraged me to take a five mile run with her during our lunch…

My Son Brought A Rat Into Church The Other Day
My son almost dropped a rat into the communion wafers the other day.
I wish I were kidding.
Somewhere between me dropping him off for Sunday school and our attending Mass, my son was given a small fake rat by one of his friends.
That’s right. A RAT.
Why?
Why do little boys do anything like that? Who the heck knows?
I wasn’t privy to this information until midway through the church service. In all reality, I should have… Continue

How to tell if you've succumbed to MOM FRUMP (!)
I just got back from a weekend holiday at the beach.
I learned something about myself there. I learned that I am… FRUMPY.
Sooooo frumpy. Not just frumpy compared to 20-somethings. Get real. I wouldn’t even begin that comparison. I mean frumpy compared to other moms of my age and general life status. Seriously, if I don’t turn it around soon then FRUMP might be my destiny.

One Mom's Bubble Bath Revolution
