What all women (ok, just me) secretly want for Mother's Day

I’m going to do all men a favor and take the guesswork out of Mothers Day. Thanks for thinking of it but we really don’t want the Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman double-heart pendant that she forged from silver she mined herself in the wild west of oh….east Hollywood. They really are kind of cute but it would just get stuck in my bike chain like all my other necklaces. How that happens is another post. We don’t want a fancy dinner out that secretly means we can’t afford a babysitter later for New… Continue

Parents, January is the Time to Help Your Child Succeed in School

As the second half of the school year begins more than ever, parents need to work with their child’s school. We need you more now than ever. Parents are our key to children’s success.
How Can Parents Work with The School?

Talk to your child's teacher
Introduce yourself at the beginning of the school year and keep in touch all year.
Attend parent-teacher conferences if something comes up reschedule as soon as possible; you are so important to your child’s success.
Arrange a time to observe your child as a student, a great way to do this is to volunteer in the classroom.
When working, consider using email to communicate with your child's teacher.

Great to have you here! We've got an incredible group of women connecting on all sorts of topics, so kick back and make yourself at home. Check out the Twittermoms groups (we have something for everybody). The Twittermoms discussions are quite entertaining, too. Or, just get to know your fellow Twittermoms by browsing some Twittermoms profiles or searching for moms who share your interests, add friends, and start twittering with some incredibly smart and interesting moms.

PS: Let your friends know when you're on twittermoms with a click of the Announce Yourself link in your welcome box. If your Twitter friends are interested, they can check out the cool new place you've found!

Again -- if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

PPS: We invite all bloggers to join the TwitterMoms Blog Network. It's a free, easy way to build blog traffic.;
