I am a writer/editor who specializes in stories related to children, family and popular culture. My print work has appeared in numerous national magazines including Working Mother, Fit Pregnancy and Healthquest Magazine. I co-edited the parenting anthology, Three Ring Circus: How Real Couples Balance Marriage, Work, and Family (Seal Press 2004) and for three years, co-wrote a monthly column for AOL’s on-line magazine, Africana.com and blogged for momsrising.org. Television and film work include an Emmy nomination for the animated family film, “Our Friend, Martin”, starring Whoopi Goldberg, James Earl Jones, John Travolta, and Susan Sarandon, three seasons as a writer on the CBS series, “Judging Amy” and a stint as a writer/consulting producer on the TeenNick drama, “South of Nowhere.” I’m a mother of two daughters, age 9 and 6, and I’m married to a rocket scientist (no, really) who works as a navigator for space operations for NASA.
