Anyone who raises or works with kids can agree on at least one thing: we ultimately want to help them find a way to lead happy, meaningful and productive lives. There’s so much pressure on kids today, and the focus gets a little skewed at times. September is such a symbolic month. For many people it’s a time of renewal with the kids back at school, the weather starting to change (unless you’re in Florida like we are), new projects on the horizon, and memories of summer gently wisping through your mind. Since I started my blog, I’ve been trying to write on a weekly basis. The fact that I haven’t written for almost two weeks now, should give you a clue as to what’s happening in my life. I’m entering the “seriously getting ready for camp mode”! I have to-do lists everywhere, and as I work my way through them, I keep adding more tasks. It’s exciting and a little scary all at the same time–similar to how many campers are feeling—especially if it’s their first time going away.
