Travel Help!

I'm taking my 18 month old son on a weekend trip to a family friend's house.I'm worried because we'll be driving for about 4 hours, and that would be the longest car ride he's ever had. He'll be sleeping in a place that is crib-less. The whole trip is totally out of his normal routine.Anyone have any tips or suggestions for taking a methodical toddler on a roadtrip and mini-vacation?Thanks! :)See More

A little about yourself...: I'm a vegan mommy of a little boy who will be 4 years old on November 1st. I have 4 dogs and one stinky cat. I have a wonderful husband who I love so much it's nuts!! We are currently trying to make baby #2. Well, not currently, as in right this second, because, well, that would just be weird. ;P
I'm a pretty hardcore animal lover, and I can often be opinionated on the subject of animal rights. I think we as a human race, have become totally out of control in regards to how we treat animals and this planet. It's really sad.
I'm a Christian, and I'm proud of it. Sometimes I feel like I have a love-hate relationship with God... We get along most of the time... I think it's me that needs to work on things. ;)
I like to cook, I like fashion, I'm a girly-girl. I still feel like a kid, sometimes I feel like someone's going to come knock on my door and take my kid away and tell me that I need to grow up more before I can have him back! :P
I try to be nice to everyone, but every once in awhile you just find people that push your buttons, ya know? :)
My real name is Jen, but I've gone by Bug since I was 14. I love music a lot, and I feel like certain songs can sway my moods. I've been in love with the band 311 for 16 years now... They rock my socks! :)

And one more thing about me...

I'm anti-Palin. Severly so.

I don't have a word strong enough to express my disgust with her.

What don't I like?

Is it her thoughts on foreign policy? No. Her stand on gay marriage? No. Her beliefs in abortion being right or wrong? No. Is it her hair or her glasses? No. (I'm not THAT shallow)

It's her "I'm top of the food chain so I can murder and/or maim any animal I want and it makes me just as strong as a man" attitude.

A little about me... the new mom here. :)

Well... let's see... I'm on LiveJournal and Myspace, and Facebook. And Twitter, and now Twitter moms. I wonder when I'll find the time to update everything! :) Probably when I'm at work and should be working... shhh, don't rat me out! :)
