I just recently lost a good 5 1/2 pounds in 3 weeks... I used to 189 and now I'm 184 1/2. All I did was completly change my diet because now I have Gall Stones, bronchitis, and knee pains. I eat turkey,chicken,not too much red meat and pork, eat fish,shrimp, and squid aka calamari. All with very little seasoning and cooking with pure virgin olive oil... Can eat pasta, but only made of wheat and you can eat rice, but only brown makes you full, but not too full that your stomach hurts the whole day. and  always exercise. Substitute soda and coffee with water, herbal tea, and diet v8 splash. All have little to no calories and little to no sugar. I'm also starting to hurt less now that I lost some wieght.

Have you guys heard of Chia Seeds?! YES- the ones that are used to grow Chia Pets. Well they are also a great way to lose weight, lower cholesterol, and more!

I don't watch the Biggest Loser but ran across a post from fitness & pilates pro LisaJohnsonfitness.. talking about  question of certification of new trainers on The Biggest Loser TV show..-- it seems there is some question as to ONE new trainer's lack of certification and ability/training to deal with contestant's fitness/health challenges.

Hi everyone -

I am kicking off the new year with my Health Challenge Event that is going to focus on health, exercise, nutrition and earth friendly products.  I will be kicking off the program 1/15/11 with the NEW Walk-Eat-Lose program from WalkAtHome.com and am inviting anyone that would like to be part of this program to sign up at: http://givingnsharing.blogspot.com/2010/12/health-challenge-event-s...

 

You don't have to do the same program as I am - you can also do weight watchers, curves, etc but it is a good opportunity for some accountability and encouragement.  Hopefully a 45 day period will get us all in the habit and it won't be as easy to quit.  We can decide afterwards if we want to continue as a group.
