Many of my stay-at-home mom friends have great blogs which they've started for one reason or another ... some moms use their blog as a daily journal, some as an account of their children's experiences, others as a way to connect up with moms who share similar interests, others because they love writing, etc ...

Just wondering which stay-at-home moms here have blogs ... and what was the motivation behind starting yours? Care to share?

BTW, I invite everyone to hop over to my blog and leave a comment or two if you'd like at: http://mothersinstitute.blogspot.com

Looking forward to hearing from you mommy bloggers :-)

Hi! I started a blog with one of my closest friends, another stay at home mom, to share our perspective on things (like what has worked for us and what kind of things our kids enjoy). We thought it would be nice if there was a blog out there about everything related to pregnancy, babies, and toddlers, written by moms, for moms.

Our blog is http://www.bellytobellybutton.com/ feel free to check it out.

I don't remember why I started my blog but it turned into a lot more blogs covering my different passions. My personal blog is http://jennifervalerie.blogspot.com.
I am very new to blogging, but I started blogging to have a mommy activity during naps! I have two blogs The Adventures of Monkey & Me which will end up being a short of catch all of topics! The second is Watch Me Become Fit where I will be talking about my daily workout with 10 Minute Trainer and tracking my progress.
Enjoying visiting your bogs ladies ... thanks for sharing! :-)
Looking forward to reading these blogs! Mine is www.homeschoolblogger.com/mtnmamaof4
I left my reporting job to be home with my son but the decision to stay home didn't hit me until one particular day. It was the first time he napped and I was not tired. I found myself staring at him, at the walls, at him, the walls ... I thought I was going to go crazy! Then it hit me: I need a hobby.
This is the result. Check it out and tell me what you think... and feel free to visit the forum to link your blog. I'm always looking for moms to follow...Hopefully, we'll develop a nice network of moms to share info and tips!
Soni.
My blog is just about my life in general. Anything, everything and sometimes nothing at all.

Adjusting to first-time motherhood was rough for me, because I live far from my Mother and Sisters. As I struggled through the transition, I was blessed to find that motherhood, and especially staying at home to raise my children, gave me a membership card to a pretty exclusive club. I call it the Sisterhood of Moms. There have been so many times that I've been searching for the right path or in need of a break, and another Mom has come to my rescue for no other reason than we are both Moms.

I started Midwest Moms in May 2008 as a way to share photos and family stories. But I also wanted to tap into the Sisterhood and spread it to as many other moms as I could. So I share my own strategies and stories about raising my brood in a way that (hopefully) will help other people encountering the same situations I am.

The experience of blogging at Midwest Moms has been so enriching, because it has brought me into contact with a group of strong, funny, smart women. We all have our ups and downs, but there is nothing like sharing them to make the road seem easier to travel.

Thanks for the opportunity to talk about it! Come by anytime. :)

Hi Jan,
I started blogging as a way to vent and to journal. I love blogging and reading other's blogs.
