Without a deep burning desire of our own, we will be ruled by the desires of others.
Millions of souls drifting through life, without an inner compass to give them direction. They take their cues from others and live out scripts from someone else's life. It's a high price to pay.
I think of a friend in his fifties who still doesn't know what he wants to be when he grows up. A friend in his twenties who doesn't know what to do with himself now that college is over. Another friend in his forties who isn't sure if he should get married or stay single. Every one of them has tried to seek a safer life.
How many folks do you know, in spite of their faith, are deeply disappointed in how their lives has turned out? I learned that desire cannot live with out hope. We can only hope for what we desire. Have you ever pondered that there has to be something more out there that offers the life you value highly? To support that life we need to possess a clearer picture of the life that lies before us.
"We are never living, but hoping to live; and whilst we are always preparing to be happy. It is certain, we never shall be so, if we aspire to no other happiness than what can be enjoyed in this life" - Pascal

One of the most poisonous of all thoughts is simply, "Things will never change." That kills expectation, trapping our heart forever in the present. To keep desire alive and flourishing, we must renew our vision for what lies ahead, Desire is kept alive by imagination.
Many feel that it's better to stay in the safety of the camp than venture into the wilderness. Who knows what lies ahead? As the road to success may grow long we grow tired. We become impatient and give up the way for some easier path. These shortcuts never work. We lose hope.
Faith looks back and draws courage; hope looks ahead and keeps desire alive.
"The mind doesn't know the difference between actual performance and what we visualize in vivid detail." - Neil Rock

Success has always been a matter of individual effort. The individual must decide in his or her mind, what is wanted. Success begins with the use of your imagination. Imagination is the key to your achievement.
To accomplish success you need the co-operation of others. Before asking for or expecting co-operation of others, you must be willing to co-operate with them. It's called Teamwork.
Teamwork produces power. Teamwork builds individuals and businesses and provides unlimited opportunity for everyone. People that are willing to voluntarily come together and freely share ideas will inevitably achieve success.
"A man to carry on a successful business must have imagination. He must see things as in a vision, a dream of the whole thing." - Charles M. Schwab
