I am new here and I am really looking forward to getting more involved in your community.
I guess everybody in this group is already pretty active and fit or is on her way to being active and fit. I was just wondering what do you do to stay in shape? Do you go to the gym or do you prefer working out at home? How often do you do this and how do you find time for it?
I personally like running and Pilates and these are my ways to keep my body under control but I am extremely interested to hear other ways to stay fit (who knows, maybe it's time for me to try something?)
I am really looking forward to your responses!
Thanks for your replies!
Kristin, congratulation on the upcoming marathon! I wish I was such a great runner, but that's still one of my dreams in life so far.
By the way I work at home too but I can never get my workouts done if I do not plan them in the morning. Usually I work out when my babies are asleep (before they wake up in the morning or when they are taking their afternoon nap). It took me a lot of time to get used to this regime because before I had the babies I was a total gym person :-)
Hey ladies! I am kinda new here, just fell off the map for a while :(
I am a fitness instructor at a woman's gym (just started this) and an Independent Beachbody coach (sounds like you P90x-ers know a bit about Beachbody workout programs. I used to work out like crazy and after putting on 40lbs with my baby it was just not helping me lose the weight. I now have lost 55lbs and I did it while working out less time, but more effectively. I LOVE working out, but I had to learn how and most importantly how to feed my body to get better results. well, I can go on and on, read more about that at my blog if you like :) www.FatmomtoFitmom.com. OH! and if you are looking to get your hands on a great new workout, Beachbody just came out with a program called INSANITY and it's just that- an insane workout where people are blasting 500-600 calories in 30-40 minutes! CRAZY! well if you are interested in something like that go to my Beachbody site- www.TeamBeachbody.com/rruppe (being a Beachbody coach is one way I am able to be a stay at home mom- let me know if you are interested in that too!)
To your health & fitness goals!
