What has been your toughest moment being a mom so far? - Was it the first time you were away from your baby? Did it break your heart when you had that first argument with your tweens or teens? Is it hard to juggle all of your children's activities and feeding your family?

Leaving my son in the operating room for hernia surgery at 18 months old.
Telling my adopted son that is birthmom doesn't want to see him....yet.  Broke my heart. Life is hard enough for a 10 year old.
When we were going through so much and putting food on the table was a struggle.
I posted mine here.
I can't even imagine how hard that would've been. Glad he has you in his life!

The toughest thing for me about being a mom is worrying about my my kids. I love them SO much and it's hard to not worry about something ever happening to them. Daily life with a 2 year old and 5 month old can be hard but, when I worry about something happening to them, it tears me up inside. As a mom, you just want to protect your kids and not think about them being 16 and driving or something!
Having my son tested for lead.
Brining my son to the doctors every two days to get his blood drawn to test his bili-rubin levels for the first two weeks of his life. The poor thing was such a trooper, but I know it hurt :(
Seeing the pain on my sons' faces when they leave me to go visit their Dad ( we are divorced )
Dealing with 3 children with eczema, 1 with environmental allergies & asthma, and another with food allergies. It is the toughest thing trying to let them be normal yet remembering all the restrictions on their daily lives. I hate that I can't take it for them or make it go away!
Having my daughter in the hospital for 2 days when she was only 18 months old and having to watch nurses put an IV on her. Uhhh, not the best time in our lives.

I am with Angela - I worry about them a  lot. (I often have to ask myself if this is rational, helpful, or not .

Also, on the everyday toughness - When I just don't feel like doing anything but lazing on the sofa - and they are begging for attention - I feel bad saying "no" when Ii am watching television. Then I go through the whole guilt nonsense.
