I'm kind of philosophical and futuristic about my birthdays. The best one(s) is/are always the one(s) that are about to be--where I get to anticipate/be surprised by seeing my kids grow, learn, and change and my husband and I get to spend time (precious time!) together. Also, simply put, any day that I'm alive, I'm happy about. All that and some chocolate cupcakes, and I'm good.

--P.S.: Love Vanessa's "best birthday" (son throwing surprise party & making cupcakes) story posted yesterday.

One year my fiance (then my boyfriend) took me to Toronto for the weekend. We spent the weekend in a fabulous hotel and saw the Blue man group
Going to play bingo with my good friend Natalie- sort of mother in law - and winning a $1000, missing a bigger score by 2 numbers.  From that day forward she decided we should split our winnings which was fine by me.  I miss her and miss playing bingo with her, my one and only bingo buddy.  It was HER!, she got me hooked!!  8-)
Well, my worst birthday was finding out that Drs thought I couldn't get pregnant ON My birthday, but the next birthday was the best because I was holding my 4 month old daughter (I guess we proved the Drs wrong!)
The BEST birthday I ever had was two years ago. My husband is currently serving in the Air Force and volunteered to be stationed overseas for 9 months. While at the time it was in Australia, I still felt lost without him and worried about him returning to me safely. He set out in July and was not due home until April. At the time I was living on the military base in Colorado while my family was in Florida. On my birthday, which was at the end of November I woke up in the middle of the night to find my husband with a handful of balloons and a huge smile on his face. It was the happiest moment for me and a wave of emotions took over. I could not believe he was there for my  birthday and was also released early to come back home. I will never forget the moment I saw him!
best bday was when my Mom came home from the hospital she was the greatest present ever I was 8 and I remember her leaving in an ambulance, 2 weeks later to return to our family it was a wonderful celebration for my bday..
The best birthday I ever had was my 40th.  My partner took me to Maui for 10 days ... Luau dinner on my birth day ... days later, I was proposed to!

I'll NEVER forget my 5th birthday!! It was at my "meemaw's" house. I was so excited b/c one of my gifts was a 7-up Soda dispenser(2 liter haha)*I purchased one on ebay as an adult lol*

I thought it was the coolest thing ever..It came with little cups too & it dispensed it like out of an old fashioned soda fountain. My brother was there..cousins..so fun! vivid memories!

Thank you for the chance to win!

I would have to say my 30th birthday was probably my best. We ended up out and celebrating every night. This was more because there were friends that couldn't come on this day or that day, so we did smaller groups and multiple days. It wasn't even the activities that made this a time to remember it was the fact that I spent the time with everyone that I loved and it was nice small intimate groups, which made the 1 to 1 conversations so nice!
The best and most unforgettable was my 19th birthday. I had a big party at a hotel ballroom and had all my best friends in the celebration.
My husband made me a picnic on the patio, made breakfast, lunch, and dinner. :) each birthday gets better than the last! :)
when i was about 8 my cousin threw me a birthday party for me and my friends to have fun..playing hide and seek
