Weekly Commenting Contest: What blog/writing topics would you like to see other moms write about?

Question of the Week: What blog/writing topics would you like to see other moms write about?

****

We recently launched a community-powered feature to help moms find a little inspiration for non-commercial blogging/writing topics. To get us off on the right foot, please give us your ideas for prompts you'd like to write about or see others write about.

For example:

If you could have dinner with one fictional character, who would it be and why?

Keep it fun, open-ended, non-commercial, and on a topic you would think would be of interest to your blog readers and your peers' blog readers.

We are working on some topic ideas of our own, and would also love to feature some prompts from members of our community. Share your ideas below, and if we feature a blog prompt from you, you'll get credit for it on the prompt page and we'll give you and your blog recognition in the weekly newsletter.

All we ask is if you write on these topics, please include a link back to this page [http://www.socialmoms.com/forum/topic/listForTag?tag=writing+prompt] and let readers know where you found your inspiration.

You can get our daily prompts by subscribing to this RSS feed in your favorite reader: feed://www.socialmoms.com/forum/topic/listForTag?tag=writing+prompt...

We hope this helps you keep your blogs fresh and lively and helps increase your traffic!

What tips and advice do you  have for new bloggers?

Babysitters- where do you find qualified ones? How much do you pay them? What do you expect them to do..clean up, feed the children, play with them, bathe them? How often do or should you use them?

How did you design your blog and how did you decide which service to use?
I would like to see more moms write about ways we can take care of ourselves, and a little less about how to take care of others.  I think we do a better job caring for others when we are dedicated to taking care of ourselves.
With busy lives, how do you find the time to do social media blogs, and how much time do you devote to the entire process?

Here are my ideas:

  • If you could choose only one board game to play with your family for the rest of the year, what would you choose and why?
  • What toy do you refuse to buy for your child?  Why?
  • What is one habit your child has that drives you absolutely crazy?
  • Do you really have a honey-do jar or chore jar for your spouse?  If so, how did you get your spouse to agree to letting you assign household tasks as if he were one of the kids?
I would love to see more topics from single moms its tough and its good to know that there is support out there
Dealing with tweens!
What are some tips for grocery shopping with children in tow?
I'd like to hear about how long people have been blogging
