With my family...the ones I love the most!!!

We normally try to avoid traveling during the holidays -- but the 17th is my father-in-laws 70th birthday so we will be traveling (all SEVEN of us) cross-country back to NC for the first time in a year. I'm so excited, but I'm already thinking about how homesick I will be when we return to WA.  I'm looking forward to seeing my mother and father for the holidays -- I miss them so much!

I will be gOing to my mothers home for a dinner. Nothing fancy, we don't do the present thing, we just have dinner. Easier on the pocketbook.

We will not be doing anything but staying at home and hoping for a relaxing Christmas with no guests.  My family lives so far away that it's not ideal to venture out in the possible bad weather.

My sister and family w/6 kids and my parents will be coming to my home for the weekend, we'll start off with a day at the Mall of America on Saturday, then my parent in-laws and sis-in-law and family (2 kids) will be joining us at my home for Sunday dinner.

Last year we started an adult gift exchange, $30 non-gender and play the dice game, I'm still working on those gifts!  I'm sure it will be hectic and we'll each way too many home made goodies!

We'll celebrate Christmas with my husband's family at some point before Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve, my son and I will bake some sugar cookies and decorate them. Before he goes to bed, he'll be allowed to open 1 small present. Christmas Day, we'll open presents, I'll fix a big breakfast (well, big enough, as it's just the 3 of us!), and we'll watch Christmas cartoons until it's time for dinner!

At home with our little family! Pretty simple this year :)

Spending it with my husband, daughter, (one on the way) and our two bulldogs!!

It will just be the three of us (family) so we are probably going to treat ourselves to a nice restaurant.

Making my college daughters' favorite foods

We're taking it easy this year - instead of hosting a family get together, we're relaxing with just the 3 of us =)

We are going to spend Christmas Eve at my parent's house, Christmas Day with extended family, and we will go visit my sister in January!
