Share your ideas for an ideal U.S. family great getaway for a $50 Amazon gift card

As of 10:22 AM PST on 1/28/11 we have received the 50 requested submissions and are verifying compliance.  If you wrote a post on the topic, please still feel free to post your link below to share with the Alamo team and be included on our co-branded hub page for all to see. Thank you for your participation and interest in this program!

SocialMoms and Alamo have teamed up to introduce a fun, new blogging program that asks you to share your ideal, U.S. family “great getaway.” Everyone dreams of a great getaway vacation, and we want to hear your stories about your perfect trip. If you could take a great escape with your family anywhere in the beautiful and diverse United States, where would you go, and what would you do? What would be your ideal, great family escape from it all? We’re looking forward to all your creative ideas and posts.

We're looking for quality over speed, so please read on.

Share your ideas for an ideal U.S. family great getaway in a thoughtful, original essay post of at least 400 original words.  Please stay on topic. We want to hear all about your ideal family great getaway! Would you take your family to a beachside resort? Do you like to plan adventure travel for the family? Would you plan a cross country road trip? How about an amusement park for a weekend? Where would you like to take your family for a great getaway in the U.S.?

How it works:
We are looking for fifty creative, original and authentic submissions of high quality. Create an original post on your blog, in 400 words or more (using your own words), about your ideal family great getaway. Include a thoughtful introduction, original content within the body of your post, and a conclusion. Check your spelling and grammar. You must also include the disclosure statement that is below in your post and install the campaign widget in the sidebar of your blog. Then follow the rest of the requirements below. We will review every post and select the first 50 qualifying submissions to receive a $50 Amazon.com gift card!

Highlights from your posts, tweets and tips will be collected and featured on http://alamoinsiders.socialmoms.com and distributed across the web for all to see. The blogging program starts on January 26, 2011 and the submission window closes at 11:59pm PST on February 24, 2011. We will contact the qualifying bloggers on or about March 3, 2011. Full terms and conditions are posted for your review at http://alamoinsiders.socialmoms.com/terms.

Widget installed and disclaimer is in place.

Well, I thought the widget was installed. It doesn't seem to be showing up but it might be my connection. I installed it correctly. Is anyone else having trouble with it?
