Share your favorite thing about Easter for a $25 Fandango gift card!

THANK YOU EVERYONE! We have reached our quota of 100 posts. We are reviewing current submissions to make sure they are qualified. You will be notified via email if you were one of the qualifying participants. Thanks for participating! Even if you are not in the first 100 submissions, you are welcome to continue submitting your posts, and we will share all of them with the team at Universal Pictures.

SocialMoms and Universal Pictures have teamed up to introduce a fun, new blogging program that asks you to share what is your favorite thing about Easter (candy, family time, Easter Egg Hunts, etc). Spring is here! Flowers are beginning to bloom, the weather is starting to get warmer, and the Easter bunny is on his way. What do you teach your children about your favorite traditions of Easter? Do you love visits from the Easter bunny? Does the Easter bunny come to your home with shiny, colorful eggs full of jelly beans set out for an Easter egg hunt? Do you love to dye eggs with the children? Do you like to plan a special Easter lunch with the entire family? Do you love all the Easter candy that comes out this time of year? Do you think the best part of Easter is buying a new Easter bonnet and special holiday dress to celebrate? What is your favorite part of Easter? We’re looking forward to all your creative ideas and posts.

We're looking for quality over speed, so please read on.

Share what is your favorite thing about Easter in a thoughtful, original essay post of at least 400 original words.  We want to hear all about your favorite Easter traditions!

How it works:
We are looking for one hundred creative, original and authentic submissions of high quality. Create an original post on your blog, in 400 words or more (using your own words), about what is your favorite thing about Easter. Include a thoughtful introduction, original content within the body of your post, and a conclusion. Check your spelling and grammar. You must also include the disclosure statement that is below in your post and install the campaign widget in the sidebar of your blog. Then follow the rest of the requirements below. We will review every post and select the first 100 qualifying submissions to receive a $25 Fandango gift card!

Highlights from your posts, tweets and tips will be collected and featured on http://hopthemovie.socialmoms.com, and distributed across the web for all to see. The blogging program starts on March 28, 2011 and the submission window closes at 11:59pm PST on April 26, 2011. We will contact the qualifying bloggers on or about May 3, 2011. Full terms and conditions are posted for your review at http://hopthemovie.socialmoms.com/terms

Rewards for Participating:
The first 100 qualifying participants will receive a $25 Fandango gift card! See Terms and Conditions

About Hop:
Blending state of the art animation with live action, Hop is a comedy about E.B. (voiced by Russell Brand), the teenage son of the Easter Bunny.
On the eve of taking over the family business, E.B. leaves for Hollywood in pursuit of his dream of becoming a drummer.  Once there, he encounters Fred (James Marsden of the X-Men series, Enchanted), recently fired and determined to pull his life together.  Feigning injury, E.B. persuades Fred to take him in, and Fred finds himself living with the world’s worst houseguest.   Back on Easter Island, the Easter Bunny’s second in command, an oversized chick named Carlos, seizes E.B.’s disappearance as an opportunity to plot a coup.  Ultimately, Fred and E.B. are Easter’s only hope and they find themselves returning to Easter Island, locked in an epic battle to save the beloved holiday.  The film is helmed by Tim Hill, director of the blockbuster Alvin and the Chipmunks and produced by Chris Meledandri’s Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me).
