Okay this discussion is for all you savvy money making mommas. I recently quit my well paying full time job to stay home with my newborn 1st child. I have always sold Cookie Lee jewelry on the side earning a few extra $100 here and there...but now I am trying to increase my participation in selling Cookie Lee jewelry. I want to build a successful team and increase sales! I have my own website at www.cookielee.biz/hillaryreeves and recently started a blog at www.cookieleeconsultant.blogspot.com and I am on twitter at www.twitter.com/CookieLeeBling. For awhile I was able to drive lots of traffic to all my sites, but it has slowed way down. I am seeking to branch out and my number one goal is to grow my team. I have offered great incentives to join my team! I just need more information on how to get my business out there. Oh yeah did I mention I am on Facebook too! So for all the smart marketing women out there....pleases help! All advice and criticism would be greatly appreciated.
social media--- blogging, tweeting, facebooking, it's all wonderful and all great extras, but don't forget about LOCAL booking, selling, and recruiting. With jewelry, you're sure to do the best at your local shows and tables at holiday boutiques, etc. People need to SEE the jewelry! Be sure to wear it everywhere even when you're just taking your little cutie to the grocery store-- people will see it, comment on it, and ask you where you got it. Have your business cards and datebook ready! :)
When you're consistently doing 3-4 shows a week every week (and posting about it on your twitter and facebook), that's when you'll see more success with social media. Success breeds success and the best place to start succeeding with a jewelry business is locally, in my opinion. :) Do parties for moms groups. Do lunchtime parties at offices. I LOVE Cookie Lee jewelry but since my consultant isn't local to me (we've been friends for years), I've never been to a cookie lee party-- I'm sure they're a blast!
