The other night, I was helping my daughter with homework before I had to take the youngest to football practice.  My oldest son walked by (13) and I stopped him and made him cook dinner for all of us.

My children have always helped me cook, boys and girls alike.  They started when they were old enough to crack an egg.  Yes its messier, but eventually, they will become adults and need to learn how to do more than make mac and cheese.
