How did you choose YOUR husband?

More and more women are assuming the role of primary breadwinner. As such, the dynamics of their personal relationships must reflect the change. How does the contemporary woman decide on a husband? Does a man's job title matter? Do they begin as friends?

we meet thru a woman I was training to take my job after I left. He was renting a room from her & her hubby. They had a house warming party, he answered the door and poof > love!! 13 yrs together now!!

My DH and I met in high school. He was 15 and I was 16 and he lived 2 doors down from my BFF. It was a fun summer just getting to know each other and went on from there. 20 years after that first kiss{on June 1} we are still going strong! Don't get me wrong, we've had our ups and downs, but I sure love that man! 7 pregnancies and 5 kids later... I think we have come a long way! {I love talking about him!} =)

We were highschool sweethearts that got separated from a move across the country. After dating and having time apart I realized that my highschool sweetheart was my best friend, so I married him!

After being in an abusive relationship, I ended up at a party for a mutual friend of ours an we just connected on every level. Sounds corny huh? But after 21 years and 3 kids later, I still cannot believe my luck!

It's so heartening to hear about all the long-term relationships -- love endures all! Which is saying something--especially through several pregnancies. After the birth of my children I lost my "marbles of memory" for a while... Couldn't remember a thing!

Thank God for patient husbands :)
