I have kept quite a lot of items, some are on bookcases like ornaments, some are packed safely away. I tend to keep those that are particularly beautiful childrens' clothes or shoes, those that hold a certain significance, memory etc. Would love to know what you do .

I know what you mean. Those cute little items are hard to part with and remind us of our little darlings when they were very young.
I also think of the time, many years in the future, when the kids of our kids will look at them and see more than memories. They will be able to see the fashion of the past years. It might be very different for them.
Thanks for your reply

Hi Maria
You sound very much like me in this. I have little shoes on bookcases, first football boots hanging on his bedroom wall etc etc. I will keep lots of things. As they get older it is important to have mementos of their childhood. Actual artifacts not just photos.
Thanks for sharing this with us.

Permalink Reply by Kat Rosati on February 28, 2011 at 2:35pm I keep some of their things. My daughter's pretty dresses are hanging in her room on a peg board (3 of them). Her baby cowboy boots sit on her book shelf. Some of their outfits are on their teddy bears. I have created some Christmas ornaments out of their infant toys and teething toys. It makes it easier to hold onto if I can utilize the item. Some other outfits are in storage bags under their platform beds. I want to eventually put them into a quilt that they can use for their own babies.
