Share Ideas for Protecting a Family Nest for a $50 Amazon.com Gift Card!

Thank you for your interest in this program. We have reached our goal of 50 qualified blog posts at this time.
Please feel free to post your completed blog posts as we continue to verify submissions. We will share all posts with the Allstate Life Insurance team.

It’s hard to describe the feelings you have when you’re starting a family. It’s been said that you never really know what love is until you have kids. And you certainly have never felt more protective in your life. Like, grizzly bear protective.

For many of us, it’s the first time we start thinking about life insurance. But where to start? How much do you need? How much is too much? Allstate Insurance wants you to help educate your blog readers on the role and importance of life insurance along with your ideas and suggestions protecting a family nest. It’s easier and more affordable than most people think. As low as $20 a month in some cases.

We’re looking for 50 thoughtful posts that share ideas and suggestions for protecting a family nest. Did you set up a savings account, 401K or college fund? Have you thought about different types of insurance? Have you taught your children what to do in case of a family emergency? Allstate has provided us some facts and background information about life insurance for you to share in your blog posts as well.

Facts, Figures & Thought Starters for your Post
Did you know that half of Americans say they are under-insured? That’s 58 million* of us. And 70%* of people with kids under 18 say they would be in serious trouble if something happened to the primary breadwinner.

Experts say a good rule of thumb is to insure 5 to 10 times your income. It sounds like a lot, but it’s really not. Think about what you’re really worth.  Life insurance will help cover the cost of your mortgage, medical & funeral expenses, continuing childcare, living expense and college tuition.

How many people would have to be hired to do all the things you do for your family? Salary.com estimates the average stay-at-home mom would earn $117,867 per year if she were paid for all the work she does.

Most people feel overwhelmed when they think about this stuff. Your local Allstate agent can talk you through your situation and help you plan for the future today. Allstate and their agents have been helping customers protect their families for over 50 years.

We're looking for quality over speed, so please read on.

Widget is installed in the far right column. Thanks!!

I wish you could sign up for these posts, instead of being the first to post.  I think you would get better posts, because I think everybody is in such a hurry to post, to get in on the deal and the posts would be better if they had more time to put it together.  Just a thought, I just hate being in a hurry.
