Age yourself! What was your favorite cartoon growing up? Is it the same as your child's favorite?

I was uploading a new musical CD today to my profile and it features Sesame Street characters. I used to watch Sesame Street and so did my kids. I love that I have that to share with them! I remember that Big Bird was my favorite character. My son loved Cookie Monster and daughter was fascinated with Grover. My second favorite is Bugs Bunny but then that ages me! Remember the Smurfs? They are back!
It made we wonder what kind of cartoons Twitter Moms watched growing up!

Jem! I have one of the seasons on DVD. I actually sang along with the theme song and kind of remembered the storyline from some of the episodes. "It's showtime Synergy"

I loved watching the Smurfs and Sesame Street with my kids and now grandkids. Aging me even further than you, my favorite cartoons were Mighty Mouse and the Flintstones. My granddaughter is enthralled with Tom and Jerry, so I guess some cartoons are timeless. I miss the old Saturday morning cartoons - they are not the same any more.
Pretty sure that Miranda and I would have been BESTIES! I loved all the same cartoons and also had a sick obsession with Punky Brewster (cartoon not show), She-Ra AND The Chipmunks... The best part is that the marketing geniuses behind all my old favorite cartoons planned is so that once I was at an average "baby making" age, they brought them all back so yes, my daughters enjoy the same cartoons I did as a kid... Now, whether I influence them or not, I will keep to myself ;).

I know that this is not technically a cartoon but this was my favorite ever! My favorite actual cartoon was The jetsons because i always wanted all the gadgets they had. I still want a conveyor belt shower.

I was a smurf FREAK! My family even had to call me smurfett for months. When I was little, there was no Disney channel, nothing. Only on saturday morning. If we watched anything close to a cartoon during the week it was seseme st and Mr Rodgers. My 4yo won't even watch the smurfs!
SHE-RA! :)
