CIEE is seeking host families for high school foreign exchange students. The students are between the ages of 15-18 years old and stay either 5 months or 10 months depending on what they have chosen to do. They have their own spending money for toiletries, school supplies, clothes, school lunches, and entertainment, etc. They also have their own insurance that is provided by CIEE. Host families come in all different types. It can be a family with or without children who are willing to open their hearts and their home to one of these students. There are many exchange students waiting for the phone call to find out whom they will live with and where it will be. Please consider this opportunity to learn about a foreign country and culture as well as help fulfill a lifelong dream of one of these students. The kids are amazing and are so excited to experience life as a teenager in America. They can’t wait to be a part of the high school experience. School is so different here from anything they've ever known. They have the choice to be involved in so many different activities in school including sports, band, clubs, drama, journalism, etc. They are so much fun to have around and see them experience so many new things and/or things that they have only seen in movies. There are so many rewards to being a host family and many of those will last a lifetime.
